Clever, good imagination. I can see where the new tripod helped ;) :P

But seriously, it's nice :)

The new tripod came with a ball and socket head, which makes the fine adjustment required for close-up work less convenient than the geared head I normally use. However hard I try, there always seems to be some movement after I have tightened the ball head. The tripod is well made and has lots of useful features, though, so I am pleased enough with the purchase and it will take the geared head if I want.

Thanks. Apropos our discussion on the sd Quattro thread, I used my DP3 Merrill as it has a close focussing capability and I did not want too long a focal length so I could maximise depth of field on the petal.

This would have been a great addition to our recent surrealism evening! Great imagination and well executed.
