I would suggest practicing lighting ahead of time using selfies normally... but in this case...

The suggestion is probably correct as I suspect that Jay does not have the flexibility to get into some of these poses.

I will have you know I was stretching my toes and flexing my fingers just in case I had to step in and save the day.

I had two themes in mind and both worked out well. The first one was to get a strong, dark, gritty Film Noir look. The cigarette is missing. I only thought of it as I was shooting and no one in the studio had one. Shame, would have put the finishing touch to it. This type of theme appeals to me and it’s something I am going to explore more. For this kind of look you need the right model to pull it off. I think she looks awesome. . You really need to see them in high res and on a larger screen to appreciate the look.

The second one was about creating interesting ‘Yoga’ poses.

As usual I have done some draft copies. The final version will do next month.

This first set was to get a nice soft body flow. The second was a little more playful, voyeuristic as someone looking in through the open door.

Shame about the tan lines; they seem so incongruous for this style of photography.

Yes it is. I have toned it down a lot. If I decide to use the image on the website then I will do more work on it.

I only noticed it when she took her gown off. She causally mentioned she had been on holiday. It’s at times like these that you really appreciate the more profession models.

I am slowly compiling a check list to send to the model at the time of booking so such things don’t happen again.
