19th March - good day for a trip out -

NEC Birmingham - Photoshow
Bluebell Railway - Branch Line weekend
Alexander Palace - THE London model railway exhibition

and I'm sure there are others I've forgotten ...

I'm off to Birmingham this week, sorry Tom. Another day perhaps.
Regards

Hi All,

Those who I've spoken to are still up for the South Bank Walk next Saturday 26 March.

Sunset seems to be about 6.30pm. In order to get into the best positions and make the most of the golden hour (weather permitting), shall we aim to meet up at about 5pm. That will give us sufficient time to spend a couple of hours taking pictures followed by some liquid refreshments somewhere local.

Can you please confirm in this thread if you are still coming?

There are several places nearby where we could meet up but to start the ball rolling as most will be coming by train, how's about under the clock at Waterloo Station at 5pm?

Regards,

Tom

Hi to all considering going on the South Bank Walk.

Looking at the projected weather forecast for this weekend, Saturday evening looks as though it is potentially going to be both wet and windy with a heavy cloud base.

As the intent is to get some good shots ideally during the golden hour, would you like to take a chance on the weather or re-arrange the walk to say 2nd April?
Obviously reviewing the weather again nearer the date.

Regards,

Tom

Hi Tom
I am still interested in the walk to the South Bank. If the weather is bad 2nd April would be fine for me.
Thanks

Hi Tina,

Glad to have you on-board. The forecast isn't great for this weekend so subject to hearing back from Keith the 2nd looks like a better option. Also because this weekend is Easter more might be able to come the following week.

Watch this space.

Tom

Hi Tom,

As you already mentioned the weather for this Saturday doesn't look that good :(

With this in mind the 2nd of April will be fine with me.

Thanks
Keith

Hi Keith & Tina,

I think this is a wise move and I suspect will be appreciated by others.

2nd April it is then. Shall we go for 5pm under the clock at Waterloo Station.

Sorry, Tom, I am otherwise engaged on the revised date as well. Don't forget that the clocks will have gone forward by then, so there will be a longer wait for sunset.

Hope the shoot goes well.
