I have been in contact with Wessex Pictures to get prices for the various items which Wally used in last night's demonstration.

The backing board appears to be Corri-Cor Mk III, which is £2-70 + VAT per sheet. There are volume discounts available, but the person to whom I spoke was unable to say what they are.

Nubord was also suggested at the same price, but this is not listed as having the same archival properties.

Double sided tape is £2-70 + VAT per roll for 1/4" and £3-85 + VAT for 1/2".

Standard brown masking tape is £1-55 for 1", £2-35 for 1 1/2", £3-10 for 2" and £4-20 for 3". All prices ex VAT.

Tesa brown masking tape is £4-60 for 1", £6-96 for 1 1/2" and £9-14 for 2". As before, all prices are ex VAT. It is unclear what the difference is between the Tesa product and standard masking tape in terms of quality, but I have been using the latter without any issues.

If anyone wants to add any of these items to our order, it will help reach the £75 total at which delivery becomes free.

Is that the Corri-Cor Mk III? Do you want 1/4" or 1/2" tape?

Decisions, decisions! ;)

Current orders are:

Davidc: 10 x white, 10 x antique white textured, 20 x backing board, 2 x 1/4" double sided tape
Tom Sherrin: 5 x antique white, 5 x black
Ron Barker: 5 x white, 5 x antique white
Mike Farley: 5 x white, 7 x antique white textured, 2 x 1/4" double sided tape, 2 x brown masking tape

With the exception of the black, this gives us the required multiples of 10 for the mountboard and the overall value of the order should be sufficient to qualify for free delivery.

I'll contact Tom separately to see if he wants to take five sheets of black from one of the standard ranges.

I have now spoken to Tom, who has amended his order. Overall, the position is now:

Davidc: 10 x white, 10 x antique white textured, 20 x backing board, 2 x 1/4" double sided tape
Tom Sherrin: 5 x antique white, 5 x antique white textured
Ron Barker: 5 x white, 5 x antique white
Mike Farley: 5 x white, 7 x antique white textured, 2 x 1/4" double sided tape, 2 x brown masking tape

This means that the order will be:

20 x white
25 x antique white textured
10 x antique white
25 x backing board
4 x 1/4" double sided tape
2 x 2" brown masking tape

Any other requests or amendments before I press the launch button?

UPDATE

I have now placed the order, so no further updates will be possible. Could those who have placed requests ensure that they are at the club meeting on 18 December to collect their board and any other items ordered.

Once I have the receipt on Thursday, I will work out what everyone owes and will advise people individually.

UPDATE

Wessex delivered to my house today, but unfortunately omitted a substantial part of the order. This should be rectified next Tuesday, but it does mean waiting in for a second time. Grr!

Tom has now collected those items which have arrived and will bring them to the club next Wednesday, hopefully with the other missing items as well.
