A while back, Croydon Council closed all the display areas at the Clocktower complex. This meant that other than the Click Clock Gallery, which is where we hold our annual exhibition and is privately run, and the Fairfield Halls there is nowhere in the borough for the public display of visual art*. Going past Taberner House the other day, there was a notice saying that there will be a space in the Council's new offices at Bernard Weatherill House for the display of photography and art created by residents of the borough. I cannot find any more information online, but it does seem that there will be a new cultural venue coming to the area soon, which is to be welcomed.
* If you know of anywhere else, do add the details to this thread as this will be useful information for anyone who wants to display their work.
