POTM January 2021 - Splash of Pink in Mid-Winter

For the moment, I am staying home, but will hope to go out as conditions improve.
This has not stopped me looking for something different to photograph.

Splash of Pink in Mid-Winter was shot outdoors this week, on one of our hydrangea bushes.
The vast majority of flower heads on the bushes have turned fully brown.
Fortunately, one with a few pink flowers was screaming to be photographed.
This was done with it still attached to the bush.

I will keep ALL my 12 SOTM 2021 images within this one Folder for ease of accessing.

Back ground this time was snow on lawn.

I did consider cutting the leaf off before taking the shot.
Cloned out now and looks better for it.
Could do more of a tidy up, but will leave it for now.

POTM February 2021

A lovely, sunny Friday yesterday tempted me out with my camera on to London Road.
This was initially to fulfil the U3A photographic project for this month which was to shoot outside in the neighbourhood.

After about 5 minutes, I was able to set out a few story lines to follow in the 20 or so images that I needed to present next week.

My favourite image from my essential services shots was the iconic, quintessentially British Red London Bus.
How I wished I could have just hopped on to the bus for a round trip into Central London and back using my Freedom Pass!

POTM February 2021 - Cyclist, bus and cars on a snowy afternoon

I went out this morning while it was still snowing a little.
The intention was to capture more of an action Image of a lovely red London bus.
I was pleased with this busy image with the cyclist, the red bus and the bus stop in the snow.
Just about squeezed it all in!

POTM March 2021 - Sweet Smelling Hyacinths

First sweet smelling Hyacinths in our garden.
Shot on location this afternoon, in spite of the rain.
Used a colourful background to give it punch.
Then used a cooling filter to bring out the blues.
