London weather predicts sunny spells with light wind and no rain on Thursday.

David, hopefully we can borrow your second 100-400mm Canon lens.

Photographing "some voles and other small critters" needs to be pre-arranged and might incur an extra charge of £25 per person on the whole day:

If this is the case, as it also means loosing 2 hours of bird photography, I will stick with the birds this time as this is my first visit.

I will see if I can bring a branch or two of flowering shrubs from our garden.

Paul, I will be at the church for 8.15am. Thanks very much for organising.

Looking forward to some wonderful photography in Millers Wood.

I had not appreciated the cost and arrangements for the critter photography. Just the birds will be OK for me as well.

Was waiting for John to reply to my email about the voles but hadnt realised it was on his site.

His reply stated "Bank voles can be arranged but there is a cost". Guess we could arrange another time?

According to the website, John runs a workshop for a minimum of two people at a cost of £50 each, with an option of paying a further £25 to remain at the woods for the remainder of the day. If two of us are interested, it might be possible to arrange something if we act quickly. Otherwise, it could be another trip.

I will stick with just the birds for now.

I did have a bean bag somewhere, but cannot find it.
David, do you have a spare beanbag to go with your spare 100-400mm mm camera?
Thanks,
Iggy

Many thanks to Paul for organising today's thoroughly enjoyable trip. I have not yet had the opportunity to look at my shots, although I suspect that I set a personal record for quantity if not quality. Any deficiencies in the latter will be down to me as there were plenty of birds on display to photograph.
