For the connoisseur of the unusual, this Minolta zoom from the 1970s has a construction which is probably unique - a geared helicoid which is unlike the less precise mechanism in any other zoom. Including those manufactured today. It makes the lens very sharp, especially for its era. DPReview had an article about it recently.
