Reversing a lens is one way to get macro shots. :D

How would Friday 14th July or Friday 21st July be for everyone??

Sounds like we would need 2 cars for everyone, happy to drive down there and take a few.

I have confirmed with the owner for Friday 14th July, currently only for myself and David. However, if anyone else would like to join us they are welcome and I will let him know numbers.

David - Please bring along your 100-400 as I would be interested to try it out, although will still have my own zoom. Can bring a tripod also.

Paul

Iggy has shown an interest in the lens. I will be bring it along so you can fight for it (only kidding!).

I'll also bring my tripod just in case.

Hi Paul & David,
I have a rather busy July and will unfortunately not be able to attend the Bird photography day on the 14 or even the 21 July.
So David's 100 - 400mm lens is free for Paul to use.

I did manage to grab a few hours yesterday at the wrong time of the day to make my 8th visit to Bushy Park in the last 6 months and as usual was lucky (or made my own luck) to get the images that I had gone out to get. This is for my coming members presentation ENCOUNTERS in BUSHY PARK on 5 July exploring wildlife behaviour which the public in the park might watch without seeing. It is more about life than death!

For the whole Bushy Park project, I have left my Canon dslr and heavy lenses at home and used my lightweight bridge camera, a Panasonic Lumix FZ1000 with its 24 - 400mm fixed lens. I have used the full lens range all hand held and it has worked pretty well, now that I have become more familiar with its capabilities.

I might give my Canon and 24 - 105mm lens a rare run out tomorrow evening, at the CCC workshop.

Hi Paul,

I've been waiting for a confirmed date. The 14th July is fine with me and transport will not be a problem as Paul Wenham and myself will travel together.

Can you confirm times and anything else we need to know in due course.

Regards,

Tom
