One or three more shots -

1. The engine side of the hood of a Jaguar D-type. I like the reflections.

2. Racing paraphernalia in one of the garages

3. "Smile" - the other side of the hood of the D-type made me smile!

This from the parade of cars after the finishing straight opening ceremony. I think the driver must have the sun in his eyes. It is a tight crop as I did not leave much space behind the car. There is an easy remedy in Photoshop, but so far I have only processed this in Lightroom.

Shutter speed was 1/25, but I think I have got a bit of subject movement with the people in the car as they are not quite sharp.

This is the Fiat S76, which for obvious reasons has the nickname "Beast of Turin". It stands nearly as tall as a man. It is an insane car, built by the Italians in 1911 to take the world land speed record away from the Germans. It went on to do just that and achieved a speed of 135 mph. That must have been quite an experience for the driver, especially on those skinny tyres.

The engine specs are astonishing. It is 28.5 litres and four cylinders producing 300 hp at 1,900 rpm. And oh, did I menntion that it is loud?

The official Brookland Museum photos from last weekend are now on flickr. I reckon we should offer our services next year. Seriously. :D

Hi Mike,

You might have a valid point looking at them.

Fancy a mauve jacket?

I'll leave this one to you.

Tom

Please could participants keep their pictures at hand in case we are roped into a presentation next season! An impressive range from what I've seen to date.
