Bubbles

Postby Rose » Sun 10 Feb 2013, 17:57

Took some pictures of giant bubbles at Greenwich yesterday. I have processed one of them three ways and just can't make up mind up about it. I'd welcome some crtique.
Thanks ! :)

The colour popped version works really well I think, followed by the normal colour version. The full mono one doesn't work anywhere near as well as the others IMO!

The first thing I saw in the mono version was a face in the middle of the image which is nowhere near as apparent in the colour variations. The woman on the right is quite obscured by a bubble, so I might be tempted to crop her out and go with the mono image.

Hmm I think if I squint a bit I can see the face in the bubble but to be honest the appeal of the picture for me is the lovely colours of the bubble. You lose all of that in the mono version. For me the colour adds much more to the image than a hint of a face.
