Mike Johnston has weighed in at The Online Photographer with his views in an overlong article comparing m43 to medium format film. To summarise, he feels that Tri-X 120 yields better results but the equipment is awkward to use and digital, including m43, wins out in many circumstances. Which, together with higher costs, is pretty much what is killing off film and is allowing photographers to produce work which is of higher quality both technically and aesthetically.
