Using the Online Forum
If anyone is unsure of how to use the forum and get the best from it, I am willing to host a small informal session to take people through the forum and its features. For reasons of space, I can only accommodate 4 or 5 people at a time, but if there is sufficient interest I can always hold more than such meeting.

I'm willing to help out with this too, either informally before/after a club meeting (I'll bring my laptop) or happy to invite people over to mine for a demo. And cake.

Can I just sign up for the cake David?

Absolutely, I'll stick something in the calendar
Re: Using the Online Forum
I'd be interested in learning more about the forum particularly posting photos. And cake of course!
Re: Using the Online Forum
I'd been thinking about a quick "how to" for photo posting, I'll put something up this afternoon.

It might be worthwhile to set up a number of "how to's" and make them stickies in the General forum for things which people might not otherwise find. Some suggestions:
- Creating a signature
- Using the BB code tags (which are not particularly intuitive)
- Using PM's
- Checking for unread messages
- Adding an avatar
- Subscribing to threads and forums
- Control panel settings besides those listed above
There might be other things as well which we will find as people start using the forum. We can set up a thread to solicit feedback and see how people are getting on with the forum at the start of a meeting in two or three weeks time.
Re: Using the Online Forum
I've completed the "how to post images" sticky and placed a copy in the Image Critique and Photo Sharing sections. I'll start work on another topic covering the items above now.
