Berlin Germany - The Aquarium

I had a 3 day break in Berlin Germany that included a conference for a day.
As usual, I fitted in a pre-arranged visit to the public aquarium that included a guided tour before being let loose to do some photography.
The Berlin aquarium and Zoo was definitely worth a visit.
Here are a selection of large marine fish in various habitat aquariums.

Berlin Germany - Berlin Cathedral

Spent some time exploring the magnificent Berlin Cathedral on Museum Island that was completed in 1905.
The cathedral was heavily damaged in the Second World War and reconstructed in the 1970s.
It does have a wonderful gold altar, an organ with over 7000 pipes, and much more to explore.
Climbed up to the dome on the cathedral's roof which has an outdoor walkway providing panoramic views of Berlin.

Berlin Germany - Museums

In Berlin, five museums are located on Museum Island.
Wanted to visit Neues Museum that housed the legendary bust of Egyptian Queen Nefertiti, but the queue was prohibitive.
Settled on the Pergamon Museum which apparently is the best Ancient Greek Museum in Europe.
It did have some rather impressive pieces.

Berlin Germany - Peaceful Demonstration
A very peaceful Green party march interrupted our sight seeing.
St George slaying the dragon was a spectacle also found in England.
