New York – The Metropolitan & Central Park

Traveled by train from Philadelphia to New York in 2015.
Rushed from the hotel by cab to the Metropolitan Museum for a pleasurable few hours.
Learning from the Masters @ the Metropolitan captured some of its essence.
Then walked through the light rain in Central Park, camera still in hand.
There I was happy to see an American Robin among several other interesting views.
Sky Line near Central Park was another for the album as we walked back to the hotel.

New York – Times Square & Wall Street

Now for a look at the busy side of New York, where we did as much walking as possible.
Times Square, colourful even at noon, had many Superheroes making a living by posing with visitors.
Kept verticals as photographed, since that way was able to include more of the colourful signage.
The Wall Street Bull was also well surrounded by an unending stream of tourists too.

New York – From the Statue of Liberty to Ground Zero

From the Empire state building, took a long cab ride to Staton Island.
There we boarded a ferry for a panoramic ride to view Lady Liberty, the Manhattan skyline and Brooklyn Bridge.
Then walked from the ferry terminal to Ground Zero that had replaced the Twin Towers.
Later we had a long subway ride back towards the hotel.

New York – A Jazz Club in Harlem via the NY Grand Central Terminal

On the last night in New York, headed for the Grand Central Train Terminal to get a night view.
Then went on to a Jazz club in Harlem where we enjoyed the music while drinking African Tusker beer!
A great way to end the New York experience.

Hi Wally,
Thank you for your kind comments and liking my travel images.
Before I joined the CCC, I did attend a lot of work related scientific conferences to share my data.
This took me to cities in Europe, Asia, South America and the USA.
With Covid restricting my photography, I have been sharing a few of my travel portfolios in "The Past Re-Lived".
A few of those images might make their way into CCC competitions.
Thanks again,
Iggy
