Seems to be getting polarised views online, a proper marmite shot :)
Today is going to be a real challenge.

I like it. Particularly since most lego shots are done either all in lego or with plain backgrounds, so nice to see something that's... well, not necessarily natural, but you know what I mean.

#65 - Sand Dollar

Postby davidc » Wed 06 Mar 2013, 22:48

This is a small seashell from some kind of crustacean and I think it's called a sand dollar.

Another night I didn't have a shot in mind but was again surprised by what photos you can find when you really look!

Lit from underneath, YN560II on 1/32 power.

It is not what I would call a photographer's photograph. ;)

I dunno there are baroque and sinister diagonals aplenty, not to mention tons of triangles and an insightful social commentary! ;)

#66 - Droplet

Postby davidc » Thu 07 Mar 2013, 18:47

Not much time tonight but I spotted raindrops on a leaf in the garden and decided to tackle a shot I've been planning for a while.

I think it needs some refinement but I think I've learned a lot doing in, particularly setup/lighting, so this is definitely one I'll be revisiting in future :)

#67 - Dead Calm

Postby davidc » Thu 14 Mar 2013, 08:50

Day 1 of my annual road trip to Germany with friends! Fun times ahead but opportunities for photography would be limited...

Snapped this while we were crossing the English Channel at a painfully slow pace - it's the busiest shipping channel in the world and it was EXTREMELY foggy. The view looking out over the channel was quite spooky, you could barely see a thing!
