After last weeks meeting, this is my attempt of a Hyacinth.

Ron, great attempt, when I first looked at it, it reminded me of florescent squids :) - but that's just my imagination! I like the way you have chosen to eliminate the background, and the main stem of the plant, this takes it from being a straight forward shot to the start of something arty. Looks like you used flash - the highlights on the petals are a little hot, these can be brought down with the burn brush tool
