... so just a snap really , but I liked that view of the Clock tower Gallery.
Any comments?

I can understand your reasons for taking and liking the shot, although it is a bit too cluttered for my taste. I also wonder whether someone who is not familiar with the location will question what the image is about?

Hi Nina,
Its amazing how well mobile phone cameras perform these days.
I can see that you are working towards your Mobile Phone Photography Member's Presentation on 7 March 2018.
Looking forward to it.
Best wishes,
Iggy

To Mike
Well Mike, de gustibus and all that. It wasn’t my intention to do a record shot. I just thought that it presented an interesting and different view of the gallery we are all familiar with.
Thanks Iggy. I have a lot of images captured on my phone and it will be difficult to make a selection.

I was not disputing anything, merely making a comment about how I felt about the shot. If you like it, that is all which really counts.

Looking at it again, it does highlight a potential shortcoming with the small camera units incorporated into mobile phones, namely lack of dynamic range. The main subject area has plenty of detail and is well exposed but there is nothing in the shadows. In so saying, I appreciate that this is a low resolution version, resized for the forum. Is the original better in that respect?

Hi Nina,
As you know, what the small sensor does bring to the image is amazing depth of field.
So great separation of the beams from the skylight to the buildings beyond.
I do like it as is, but PhotoShopping might make the colours pop.
What mobile phone are you using?
