Good to know that everyone enjoyed the day and I have liked seeing other people's shots. I took this partly because I was surprised to see a pillar box in the grounds of Chiddingstone Castle. It looks as though it is still in regular use, not just there for ornament.
The lens I used was the second copy I received of the Sigma 45 f/2.8 lens with the aperture wide open. Needless to say my original lens, which was decentred, would not have handled this at all well. Apart from showing how sharp the lens is at its maximum aperture, I wanted to see how it handled the background. Or bokeh as some call it. Pretty well, I reckon.
