Tate Modern

Postby Mata » Wed 12 Nov 2014, 17:23

Hi

Is anyone interested in joining me next week for a trip to the Tate Modern and the South Bank?

I am sure we can make it an interesting day out. We could get off at London Bridge and slowly work our way towards (Borough Market, Southwark Cathedral,
The Clink Prison Museum) the Tate Modern and the South Bank if time allows.

Hi J

I could be interested but I am waiting for a couple of deliveries. Add me to your list but I could back out at the last minute.

Let me know what day you choose (not a wet one, please :) )
Regards

Count me in. The Tate Modern is one of my favourite places for taking photos. I am not free on either Wednesday or Thursday next week.

I am a member of the Tate, so I can get a guest into the Members' Room which is on the 6th floor and has views looking down on the Thames and the Millennium Bridge, and towards St Paul's Cathedral.

Hi David / Keith

I will get my Tarot Cards out and have a look which day next week is going to nice and sunny.

My Tarot Cards say Tuesday the 18th would be a good day for a nice stroll along the river Thames.

If we meet at East Croydon station around 9.30 am and Keith can join us around lunch time.

Mike did mention he might be interested? Wait and see if he is free on that day.

Hi Jay

I think our last posts must have coincided with each other, but I can make Tuesday. Mind you, I would expect the Tarot cards to have informed you of that already. ;)

I am not sure about Tarot cards, so have had a quick look at the long range weather forecast which says the day will be mild and overcast. Given that the forecast so far ahead is as much use as a chocolate teapot and the weather always does the opposite, that's a bit concerning. It will either be a sunny day or wind and driving rain.

Hi Mike

I am sure I didn’t see your post when I added mine.

Anyway I will take the sunny day option. I have had a little bit too much rain on me lately.

Jay

I've booked Tuesday 18th Nov but it's still dependent on deliveries. I will try to make it but if I'm advised that a delivery is due I will have to cancel. I have your mobile (xxx xxxx 7377) so I'll let you know on the day.

Just a quick post to show the view from the Tate Modern Members' Room in case anyone is interested in going up there.

First a general shot looking towards the City.

If you have a telephoto lens, you can zoom in on details. This is equivalent to around 160 mm on full frame.
