We might still be on our year end break but there has been much happening behind the scenes at our club. Featured in this week’s newsletter:

• There is an overview of the one topic that is irrevocably associated with 2020
• An announcement about a rematch with the Malta Institute of Professional Photography (the competition rules are included with this e-mail)
• A “Photo-a-month” challenge for 2021
• A wedding
• A reminder that entries close at midnight this Saturday, 2 January for the 3rd round of the DPI competition next week

Our second competition of the year will be the Master Trophy on 20 January for a panel of three images. We had hoped to run this as both prints and DPI. Unfortunately, just days after we had started making arrangements for the former, the Covid-19 situation worsened and the government introduced the new Tier 4 regulations. These include a “stay at home” directive which makes holding a print competition impractical so this season’s competition will be DPI only. Our club still hopes to run the print competition on 10 March but this will be subject to the circumstances prevailing at the time.
