AP has a subscription offer, six issues for £6. That looks like the most convenient with minimal expense method of getting the issue with the Croydon CC article provided the application is made ASAP.

You will need to apply via the AP website. Click on the banner with the trial offer shown.

Does any CCC member already have a current copy of Amateur Photographer, 21 March 20, carrying the Croydon Camera Club feature?
If you do, could you kindly take a photograph of the feature and share please?
Thanks,
Iggy

PS: AP issue in question is 25 April and is not out yet!!

I couldn't see how to delete this post.

No one has a copy of the article. It is not in that issue, nor was it ever planned to be. I suggest you (re)read the previous posts in this thread.

I have jumped the gun!
The Ap in question is due out in April not March.
Apologies for that Mike.
I will delete my submission.

The one good thing about this is that it prompted me to find and report the subscription offer which will allow people to obtain a copy of the magazine more easily than might otherwise have been the case. Unless anyone knows of a newsagent which will be both open and sells AP, this seems to be the best way to do it.

The All important 25 April issue delivered approx 21 April is still available as the start date for the AP new subscription.
https://www.amateurphotographer.co.uk
Has anyone managed to get a new subscription?
When I tried a few times this morning it would not accept my card number asking me to correct the number.
I even tried restarting computer.
I haven't used this regular card in about 3 weeks as we are marooned at home.
I am not prepared to use another card.
Any suggestions?

Iggy

Hi Iggy
I signed up this morning. I think it needs to be done by Direct Debit. They want you to sign up for the initial 6 copies and then carry on at the higher price.
If that's not what you want you need to remember to cancel the direct debit later.
Keep well

Thanks Tina.
At the direct debit stage it comes up with Please correct your account number after I have put it in.
Their customer services is closed.
When you get your copy in the next few weeks, I would be grateful for a scan of the feature. Thanks.
All the best,
Iggy

I have had confirmation from Amateur Photographer that the article will be in the 25 April edition to be published on 21 April. As previously stated, everyone who submitted images had one of their entries sent to the magazine which selected those it would use to illustrate the piece. I am pleased to say that all three classes are represented.

There is still time to subscribe to the magazine for those who wish to be sure of getting a printed copy, but I would strongly recommend not leaving it too long. Those wishing to take advantage of the £6 trial offer will need to use the link on the AP website homepage.

I just purchased a BONUS PRINT book voucher that was finishing today using my card and it worked fine.
So, thankfully my card is not the problem.

I re-entered all my data for AP magazine and got to payment page that required sort code and long 16 digit number for direct debit.
It did not require expiry date or other number.
It didn't like my long number.

Perhaps that particular subscription offer has run out.

Any one else successful fill in and get an AP subscription yesterday/today?

Regards,
Iggy
