Bryce Bayer RIP

Given that just about every digital camera ever made makes use of his invention, the Bayer colour filter array, it is appropriate to mention Bryce Bayer's passing here. Only Sigma and Fuji' respectively with their Foveon and X-Trans sensors have developed cameras which use different designs. The irony is that although Kodak's boffins created the digital camera, a once major company has suffered significantly due to other firms exploiting the technology in a way which it was unable to do itself.
