Always Have a Camera Ready!

Postby Mike Farley » Sat 04 Jun 2022, 17:36

They say always have a camera to hand as you never know what will happen. So when the helicopters from Thursday's Platinum Jubilee flypast on Thursday flew over my house as they were returning to base, I was prepared. Kind of. All I had to hand was my mobile phone; everything happened so quickly that I did not have time to get another camera. Here is the best shot from the sequence of a Chinook.

I do not recomend phone cameras for aviation photography. ;)

I wondered what the noise was, so grab my camera and just took pop luck.

Well done, Ron. My camera, with long lens coveniently attached, was inconveniently upstairs. In the few seconds available, I simply cannot run that fast these days. :(
