A visit to London Wetland Centre, Barnes. WWT had arranged with a number of sculptors to display their work around the centre. The sculptures was made from scrap materials and represented different species of wildlife. Here's just two of the many exhibits. Kevin Herlihy's Golden Eagle and Daren Greenhow's Fish on Bicycles.

Bekonscot in Beaconfield. This model village is huge and has it's own working railway network. It includes models of dwellings of famous people as well as many humorous set pieces.

The photograph shows a small section of Bekonscot.

August 2009 and 2015 and back at the Bluebell Railway.

August is the month for seeing steam in different guises. These photographs are of a steam-powered van and a steam powered tractor on display in the field behind Horsted Keynes.

Just months away from the accident at Sandilands, tram 2551 is seen at the junction of Addiscombe Road and Cherry Orchard Road. (This unit is still in the hands of RAIB - Rail Accident Investigation Branch)

This is the entrance/admin centre of the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust at the London Wetland Centre in Barnes taken from the Peacock Tower (hide).

This is The Hive at Kew Gardens. It can be approached from below and photographed through its glass floor (which can make for some interesting images) or, by taking a side path, you can stand on the glass floor and listen to the sounds of the bees.
