Paul

The statue was between the museum and 'Victory". From what I remember of the day it wasn't very good until you got under cover!

As Iggy said the cat is the star of the show, great composition.

I very much enjoyed the fence with the seed heads/leaves stuck in its fabric. So evocative of Lockdown...
Thank you for sharing David, it is well worth ploughing through archives

From February 2018 a trip to London Wetland Centre, Barnes.

I've removed a number of twigs from the image so wouldn't be suitable for Nature Competition.

A month before the line from Sheffield Park was opened up to East Grinstead, the Bluebell Railway had it's first "Track Trek". I took part in that event; the trek was from East Grinstead to Kingscote and I was sponsored for the trip by friends and colleagues. The trek had been postponed a number of times but was eventually allowed to happen. This is February 2013.

This image shows the start of the 200 yard gap in the track and the cutting which had been used by the local council. Millions of tonnes of landfill had to be removed and shipped out to another landfill site. It was worth it to get the direct connection from East Croydon to Sheffield Park.

February 2014 at Clapham Junction. LNER B1 class number 61306 "Mayflower" has just left Victoria and approaches Clapham Junction at full speed. Why do they call them steam engines? I can only see thick smoke!

2009 and back at the Bluebell Railway and a view of Horstead Keynes Station taken from Leamland Bridge which can just be seen from HK platform 5. I used a Canon EOS 350D with a 28-135 lens set at 109mm hence the slight foreshortening of the image.

March 2011 - a trip to Kew Gardens.

This little fellow - a Green Water Dragon - is free to roam about the Princess of Wales Conservatory. Mind where you put your foot!
