Re: Zombie 2
Unlike your first zombie image, the subject here does not seem to realise that she is being photographed at that moment. There is nothing wrong with such candid shots, especially as the young woman will be expecting photographs to be taken at the event, whether she is aware or not. It does present d...

Re: Zombie 1
Hi David One option for taking portraits is to ask the subject to look down and stick their chin out, as you have done here. According to Annabel Williams, this is supposed to make people look years younger, although I am not sure that is so important in this instance. :D There is good eye contact a...

Re: Night City Scene with bulb problems.
Hi Simon I have had a quick look at this and from what I can see on Flickr at the largest size, it seems to be sharp. Take a look at the "citi" and "Barclays" signs, which are both very clear. Whilst there is some flare from the signs, this is most likely to be the result of over...

Kind regards Simon I suspect that the issue is more to do with the dynamic range which the sensor is capable of reco...

Re: Annual Monochrome Competition - 24 October
Short answer - no! Monochrome means a single colour and in photography usually refers to images in which there are only greyscale tones, i.e. black, white or grey. Your image is black, white, blue and a hint of magenta, and is quite clearly polychromatic. It is acceptable for a mono print to be tone...

Re: Autumn Colour
It seems there is a specific 2 hour "Autumn Colour Photography Session" on the 3rd Nov: http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/visit/whats-on/find-an-event/?uuid=e111cfc0-19c6-43a2-a165-13c82f4d3d67 Though it doesn't give much information - simply "Learn how to capture the true beauty of th...
