As a previous visitor to Skye I can highly recommend a visit. Its a very dramatic island for photography and the conditions change very quickly. We spent a few days touring around and sleeping in a campervan. Our camp site was quite exposed near a loch and the owner secured the campervan with chains...

Re: Bird photography day out April 2019

Happy to organise the trip! Thanks to both David & Mike for the lens loans. I took around 650 shots and after a brutal cull of images (including all those empty branch shots as I was too slow!) Ive kept around 20% which I think is a respectable haul from the day, albeit with many duplicates. For...

120 Fenchurch St - A free elevated view of London

A new free viewing area has opened in London at "The Garden" at 120 Fenchurch St and I had a brief visit this morning. After a brief security check you head up 15 floors to a sparse garden with a glass barrier for 360 views. On an overcast day like today it wasnt that inspiring but it will...

Re: Bird photography day out April 2019

His reply stated "Bank voles can be arranged but there is a cost". Guess we could arrange another time? According to the website, John runs a workshop for a minimum of two people at a cost of £50 each, with an option of paying a further £25 to remain at the woods for the remainder of the ...

Re: Bird photography day out April 2019

Forecast appears good for Thursday. David & Iggy - will be in carpark at 8:15 to drive there. Mike - presume you will be driving yourself. All - Dont forget to bring any accessories you think may work. If any of you have blossom trees in your gardens then a small branch may work well. Teasels ar...
