Manufacturers typically produce lenses in batches and I would doubt whether Nikon has made any F mount lenses for some time. A while back, Canon introduced a Mk III version of its EF 70-200 ...

Re: A Metaphor of Our Age?

...... some idiots think that pressing on their horn makes the queue move faster! Doh!!! I sympathise. There was not a significant problem until people decided that they needed to refuel before they would normally do so. During a trip yesterday, I went past five petrol stations only one of which wa...

Re: A Metaphor of Our Age?

The same filling station on the following day, showing the inevitable consequence of the queues from the evening before. The fuel tanker caused some people's hopes to be raised but anyone waiting was turned away. It is tempting to think that going electric is the answer but that would incorporate a ...

Shooting film is a slightly odd experience these days of digital as the instant feedback to which we have become accustomed is no longer present. It is easy to tell if somoen is new to film[ they look at the b...

Re: Snowdonia

I have the Simon Kitchin one but will probably buy the other one as well. There seems to be so many beautiful locations it will be difficult to choose which ones each day. Like all her books, the one by Ellen Bowness is much smaller than the Fotovue equivalent (I have both), but it might help narro...

Re: Snowdonia

I have a number of the guides in this series, including this one, and they are very comprehensive. They usually employ local photographers to create the guides. As one example, Mark Bauer (our Wratten Lecturer last season) lives in Swanage and wrote the Dorset book: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Photogra...
