CCC PHOTO 2019 in Croydon Advertiser

CCC PHOTO 2019 has been published in today's Croydon Advertiser.
They have kindly given us a center page spread in Your Community News.
Apologies for the colour rendition of the scanned images.

Nicely done - except that some of your facts are wrong. There are 76 PDIs and 80 Prints.

Also, the image titles might have stood out more if they were is "quotes".

That aside, it's always good to see some positive publicity.

We have just come back from a weekend away attending a fabulous wedding just outside Canterbury.
Unfortunately, I didn’t have much of a chance to do camera club photography!

Thanks every one for the kind comments on the PHOTO 2019 write up in CP.

The title “Annual exhibition puts the focus on camera club skills”, and layout is all down to the Community Pages editor and her team.
They also had to edit my text, removing two full descriptive sentences, to fit the text in the area that they had left after including all 8 images.
I had no say at all in any of this.

Everything has to be done in a rush getting images and text ready on the night of the exhibition to beat the print deadline.
Apologies for the error in numbers of prints and PDIs displayed in PHOTO 2019 which came about as I was informed by email on the 2nd May that “18 members submitted prints and 15 PDIs”. No worries as the visitors won’t be counting.

Overall, I agree the feature should give the Croydon Camera Club a good shout and hopefully pull in a few new members.

Still working on more advertising for PHOTO 2019.
