OK, an attention grabbing title which is somewhat tongue in cheek. But only slightly. Nikon has just announced its annual financial results and they are not good. Both sales and market share fell and Nikon predicts that they will decline next year as well. Think that is inevitable in a shrinking market? In the same period, Canon managed to maintain sales and even increase its market share. I wonder where it got those extra sales from?
Thom Hogan has done his analysis and concludes that Nikon is not directing its attention where it really needs to. Its customers.
