PAD or PESO?
PAD or PESO?
Maybe I'll join in! Not sure that it will be a PAD though, more a PESO.

You can do it! I have an idea for a theme we can do at some stage too, to prompt inspiration, ideas and feedback from the club too.

Re: PAD or PESO?
Hi Nina
Welcome to the fold. One of my reasons to do this project is to force myself to take pictures and experiment. As an example, my PAD 4 image only came about when I was not happy either with my original effort to photograph the anemone or the reshoot before I settled on the high key treatment. Under other circumstances, I could see myself walking away from the shot. I am not entirely happy with my PAD 5 picture, but I have posted it anyway as for me this is partly about gaining knowledge to improve my skills. The failures count just as much as the successes. During the project I fully intend to shoot types of images which I would not previously have countenanced and take myself out of my comfort zone.
Picking up on Dave's point, it would be good to see feedback from other members of the forum. One of my reasons for posting here is to allow people to share the experience and, perhaps, learn with me as well.

Re: PAD or PESO?
Coincidentally I've decided to have another go at doing a PAD this year too. I've done one before and managed to complete 3 years (from 1 Jan 2007 to 31 Dec 2009). However, I've already missed one day this weekend so it's more likely to be a PESO this time around ! I'm posting my images on Blipfoto: http://www.blipfoto.com/roseatkinson The first few entries are pretty poor as I've been away and fully occupied from 8am till 11pm each day. Finding inspiration late at night in a dimly lit hotel room has been a bit of a challenge ! And I couldn't do much with the very basic processing tools on my laptop.
In practice, most of my pics are going to be taken with my compact rather than my DSLR. Some might even be taken with my iPhone. I welcome David's theme suggestions as a way of challenging us and keeping things going. And Nina... self portraits don't have to be frightening ! I posted this one the other day: http://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2613731

Welcome aboard, Rose. The more the merrier. And I think that you are being modest about your efforts so far.
