My bean bags are filled with plastic beads. (As I don't intend to dispose of these I don't think the plastic is a problem!)

Check out Wex for bean bags at:

Thanks, Peter. That was one of my other options. At present, I have reused the plastic nodules which were used to pack a lens I bought, but it is not a particularly practical solution. My bean bag is in three sections, with two small bags which can be used individually or inserted into a third container with double pockets for the purpose. The benefit being that it forms a V-shape in which to rest the lens. The size of the reused packing material means that the bags are OK when used on their own but lack the flexibility required to fit easily into the outer envelope.

All

After looking at John's blog from the same time last year - http://www.johnstantonphotography.co.uk ... he-fiches/ - Im thinking about a visit on Sunday 10th March. He has confirmed that date is currently free so would anyone else like to join me on that day? He also mentions that the Blackthorn blossom is almost starting so we may catch that whilst there.

Hi Paul, would have loved to but I won't be around until after the 13th. Thanks for organising it.

I got some excellent images (including a set that won me the Master [PDI] Trophy in 2018) from my last visit.

Hi Paul,
I would be interested to attend, if David B is still willing to let me borrow his 100-400mm lens.
Thanks for organising.
