epping and coney hall

Postby waconquy » Sat 04 Aug 2018, 15:02

Hullo all, I went to Epping forest on wednesday last, travelled by train, took me 1.5 hrs altogether stopped at Loughton. Walked to the forest from there, 15 mins.
Had a great time there all by myself, didn't see more than 3 people. The forest is a great place to take pictures, the trees are quite separate from each other so you can get good perspectives on them. I spent about three hours there and got some quite satisfying shots even without my tripod, I do recommend one tho. If you are into trees, great place repeat.
I went to coney hall, which is a short drive from the club, with Nina a while back. the place is full of very old Oak trees, just about standing. i recommend that place also. I enclose some pics/Users/walter/Pictures/DSCN3247 copy.jpg/Users/walter/Pictures/DSCN3178 copy.jpg/Users/walter/Pictures/DSCN3229 copy.jpg/Users/walter/Pictures/_WAC3585 copy.jpg/Users/walter/Pictures/_WAC3659 copy.jpg/Users/walter/Pictures/_WAC3599 copy.jpg
The first three are Coney hall.
Perhaps people would like to go sometime.
See you all soon.

Hi Wally, thanks for posting this information it looks like a good place for photo opportunities! Give me a shout the next time you are thinking of going. I did a little research on their website and there seems to be a number of areas to explore, I have included a linkhttps://www.cityoflondon.gov.uk/things-to-do/green-spaces/epping-forest/visitor-information/wheretogoineppingforest/Pages/default.aspx?page=all

Hi Wally,

No I didn't see the pictures, I don't think you uploaded them, the links look like links to your computer. BW Frank
