I was fortunate enough to win a ticket to this event in the ballot. Is anyone else going?

Yes, I did get a free ticket.

Some tickets still available directly form Canon at £10 each.

Event fortunately finishes at 4.30pm, so plenty of time to get back for the Members Evening at our CCC at 8pm.

Canon is not responsible for the distribution of tickets as the event is being organised jointly by SPA and KCPA. It appears that while SPA offered its tickets free via the ballot, the KCPA is charging for theirs. It is unclear whether they are offering them for sale to those who are not members of KCPA affiliated clubs.

Canon put on a splendid couple of workshops that was a great learning opportunity. Creative Still life with Thea Baddiley provided some simple set-ups for nice results with wine bottles and other props. Raj Khepar's Portraiture with flash to simulate natural light was wonderful, all done with Canon flashes in softboxes or elsewhere.

Thanks, Iggy. Good to see that we are are both in the video, even if you were the only one with a credit. ;)

Incidentally, the image of the model lying on the couch which is seen coming out of the printer near the beginning is mine.

Hi Mike,
Thanks for alerting me to the name credit that I got within the video that I hadn't noticed. Viewing it again, it would appear that only those with speaking parts got a credit.

Well spotted seeing your image coming out of the printer too! In the video you seem to be holding two prints. I couldn't be bothered with queuing up to get a large print as I have no storage room for something that big.

We missed a second photo shoot with Canon mirrorless cameras & Park Cameras in Brighton last week! Only found out after the event.
