Looks a bit swanny to me though ;)

Hi Laura,
Accidentally called it a gosling rather than a cygnet.
Thanks,
Iggy

No worries Iggy! I think Beddington Park would be a good local place for a club camera walk. Light to die for. I love it.

SOTW 2019 – Iggy – G1 – S3
Colourful Designs

Ms. Anesu of Anesu Designs, Croydon, was invited by Nina Ludwig to a Fashion Shoot at our Croydon Camera Club on Wednesday 16 January.
Wally Conquy and Emmanuel Muscat set up three photo stations with various light systems to photograph eight models in colourful, original outfits.
Models and CCC members enjoyed the evening.

“Colourful Designs” was shot with our CCC continuous lights using my Panasonic Lumix FZ1000 on manual settings with auto ISO.

A very competent portrait, certainly very colourful. Much better than any of my meagre efforts !

I applaud the organisers in Croydon Camera Club for putting this together so seamlessly. It was a great opportunity for members. Thank you very much to Nina, Wally and Emmanuel for putting in so much work to enable this event to happen. It was much appreciated and fun. And of course Anesu Designs was essential to the game.

Hi Laura and Mike,
Thanks for your kind comments.
I had a few problems with both forms of synchronised lighting and had to work with continuous lights for my images.
Unfortunately, for this shot just one CCC Light source was available as the other one was being used elsewhere.
Have removed large shadow on the right.
Wanted to show off more of the colourful clothing; hence the pair.

Might do some more work on the image when I have more time.

Hi Iggy

Did you adjust the perspective of this shot? To me, the figure does not look quite right and seems to be a bit squat.

Thanks Mike for that observation.
I did straighten the pillars on both sides that led to an overall squat person and architecture.
Less perspective changes done on image above now.
Ideally, I would have preferred to loose the first lantern to get a shorter, rounded image. So just cropped to get 2nd image.
Check out the two images and let me know what you think.

I can see why you adjusted it. Content Aware Scale might help you get better proportions without compressing the figure.
