Given it was a sunny day and I have not used my macro lens for a while, I took a quick stroll around the garden to see what I could find. This allium bud took my fancy and I was able to get in really close. I used a white relector to bounce a bit of light to the left of the bud. During post processing, I applied a couple of tweaks using the Nik Color Efex Pro 4 software with the Glamour Glow and Classical Soft Focus filters. Until now, I have mainly been using Silver Efex Profor monochrome conversions, but belatedly have discovered that some of the CEP4 filters can be useful.
