Taken in Wells this afternoon. He was a good musician and seemed to be doing well from passers by.

Good one, great light!
I prefer the colour version. If it were me I would crop from the top to get a square-ish format and improve the composition. What do you think? ;)

Yes, I was fortunate to catch the light like that. I have not seen anything similar since. It is already a 4 x 3 aspect ratio and changing it to 4 x 5 removes a bit more of the negative space. The 4 x 5 version is below and is not a lot different. I would not go fully square as it makes everything a bit too cramped and crops into some of the elements. In my view, it needs the negative space, although maybe that is something to tinker with when I produce the final image.

Everyone I have shown to shot to prefers the colour version and that is probably the way I will go for the final version. The textures and tones did not come out as well as I expected when I did the monochrome conversion. I think there is some potential for some subtle adjustments to the colour to enhance the mood.
