Hi Nina,

Thanks for taking such a good image.

Could do with a squarer crop to hide the bulge below the camera though. :D

Regards,

Tom

I know. I would certainly do that if you were paying or the photo.

It comes with age! It's one reason I don't like posing - it shows up too many ugly truths

I cannot help thinking that a higher shooting angle might have been more flattering. The camera might not lie, but we can help it be a bit less honest.

I didn't have a ladder on the day Mike! Besides I quite liked what I ended up with as I mentioned to Tom. :D

It looks very much as though the camera was held at around the level of Tom's waist. As it was not apparently possible to hold it any higher, we need to look for explanations.

  • Tom was sitting atop that ladder.
  • Nina has become a shrinking violet.
  • Nina is a member of the Hellawi tribe.*
  • Tom is, in reality, 12' tall.
  • Nina took a bath which was too hot.
  • Nina's middle name is Alice.
  • Tom is from Brobdingnag.
  • Nina starred in 1960s sci-fi film "Fantastic Voyage".
  • Tom is related to the Incredible Hulk and was a bit annoyed about having his picture taken.

* You know, African pygmies who live in the savannah. The grass is taller than them and they wander around all day saying "We're the Hellawai".

Here is a different take of Tom with his Canon Camera.
This was after he had shut down his camera, put the lens cap on and was ready to go home, but was kind enough to pose for that extra shot!
Just downloaded images from camera card to computer hard drive.
