Halloween part 1

Postby Paul Heester » Mon 02 Nov 2015, 21:03

Looking for some guidance on whether some recent Halloween/horror images have any value. I enjoyed taking them but would like some opinions as to whether a they would do well in competitions. Image taken with my right hand holding a torch and tripod camera on timer.

I like it. :)

I'd be tempted to darken the neck a little, and maybe a bit more softness/feathering at the bottom of the hand.

No idea how well received it might be by a judge, but I say go for it anyway.

It's the sort of creative shot which the less imaginative judges might not appreciate. There are definitely some who would moan about the lack of detail in the eyes. I am in two minds myself. The way that the face looms without any context detracts, although I appreciate that is all part of the ghostly effect.
