Could a new subject be created in the Board Index (perhaps called "HOW WE DID IT" or something like it) where this sort of thing can be listed?

That's a good idea and I'll discuss it with the other moderators on the forum. At present important posts such as Davidc's strobism guide are added as stickies so that they do not get lost, but a separate forum might be a better place for such articles. It does not help that the forum search facility excludes many words for occurring too frequently, which means resorting to external search engines. It is done with the best of intentions to ensure only relevant items are returned, but it can be frustrating when it refuses a request because the search terms are too common.
