Notice from the Surrey Photographic Association (SPA)

Postby Canonballer » Mon 07 Apr 2014, 21:37

All,

Please see the following message from Tony Riley of the SPA - a chance to win an Olympus camera - you have to be in it to win it!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Olympus UK have been kind enough to donate a brand new Olympus Stylus 1 camera by way of sponsorship for the Biennial Exhibition.
The street price for this is currently around £550 and the SPA would, naturally, like to raise as much as possible to help defray the costs of the exhibition.

Full details and specification of the camera can be found here:
http://www.olympus.co.uk/site/en/c/came ... l_cameras/

We have decided that, rather than hold a simple raffle at the Awards Dinner which would be unlikely to maximise income we will run a club members only draw with tickets costing £5 each and target sales of 100 tickets.

Would you please be kind enough to circulate this to your club members and invite their participation?

We will also be inviting those attending the Private View and Awards Dinner to participate on the evening.

Should the number of tickets sold reach 100 before the end of the dinner we will hold the draw that evening. However, we thiink that unlikely, in which case we will continue to offer tickets until the InterClub PDI competition on 10th May and to hold the draw at that event.

To enter all that is needed is to post a cheque for £5 - payable to Surrey Photographic Association - together with a covering note giving name, address, telehone number and club, to:
“Camera Draw” 3, The Old Vicarage, Westcott Road, Dorking, Surrey RH4 3DP

No actual tickets will be issued but as we receive envelopes they will be numbered from 1 upwards. The draw will be accomplished by an electronic random number generator selecting a single number in the range of the total number sold.

Individuals may purchase multiple tickets or decide to syndicate one ticket between a number of people.

Your assistance in promoting this draw will be much appreciated.

Thanks and regards,

Tony Riley
