SPA Individual Print and PDI Competition 10th November

Postby Canonballer » Mon 08 Oct 2012, 22:12

To ALL club members,

Please note the text from 3 separate emails from Tony Riley, moderator at the Surrey Photographic Association (SPA) over the last few days

Received October 5th:
1. As announced previously the SPA is holding Individual Entry Print and PDI Competitions in conjunction with the AGM at East Horsley on November 10th.

This is a competition for individual club members to enter and requires no effort on behalf of the clubs themselves. Entrants must be present on the day.

There are 4 sections - Open Prints, Nature Prints, Open PDI's and Nature PDI's

The full rules including entry details can be downloaded as a pdf here:

http://www.surreypa.org.uk/competitions ... es2012.pdf

Would you all please make sure this information is circulated within your clubs and members encouraged to enter. There is no entry fee.

2. SPA Club Codes, which are required as part of the filenames for entries, are now shown against club names on the member clubs page on the SPA website:

http://www.surreypa.org.uk/clubs

This information is also being sent to all club SPA representatives.

Received October 6th:

Please note that images entered for this competition WILL NOT preclude their use by clubs in future SPA InterClub competitions.

Received October 8th:

Unfortunately, the rules published last week did not include instructions regarding size and delivery of prints.

We have issued version 1b today which incorporates this information:
Actual prints must be delivered on the day (see Rule 8)
Prints must be mounted and maximum mount size is 50cm x 40cm (see Rule 9)

The web address for the rules document remains the same:
