Danilo Garcia Di Meo was dismissed after the Integration Task leaving just 5 contestants.

# Episode 4 - Working Animals (& their owners)
Photographers had to capture the bond between the animal and its handler while showing them working too. Allowed 3 to 5 images to tell the story.
Animals: 3 dogs, donkeys, and a horse.
Locations in Italy

Contestants had access to Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8 lens that at least 3 used.

Jérôme Sessini, a war/ dangerous assignment correspondent turned to be more of a hindrance than helpful with his suggestions causing the weaker minded to fail as they did not go with their own gut instincts! https://masterofphotography.tv/en/guests/jerome-sessini/

Check out the images at https://masterofphotography.tv/en/episodes/working-animals/

Who was the winner who used a homemade reflector?
Who were the worst two?

Images by Maria Giulia Costanzo were appreciated the most by the judges.
Giulia ignored Jérôme Sessini's scathing remarks particularly of image with lots of people and donkeys, which judges particularly liked!

Richard Morgan had a poor set of images but Robin De Goede who used an on camera flash gun was worse and was eliminated!
Just 4 contestants left now.

Not sure if any of them particularly appeal to me, but I'd agree with that.

Perhaps a bit unfair in that a horse is a more difficult animal to photograph, whilst the donkeys seem far more docile and charismatic.

I don't get Maria's first two images with the hands though?

Robin and Richard could have done much better with their posed shots. Not much empathy there.
Work environment might help with understanding what is happening.

The donkeys were used with mentally challenged people who gained confidence by hugging the the donkeys.

I am just wondering if I can record these epsodes on to a stick by connecting my laptop via HDMI to the aging Panasonic TX-P42G10B which has two HDMI ports?
That is asumming that anyone might want to see the episodes.

# Episode 5 - Home, Sweet Home.

One of my favourite episodes from past series that I have watched in the last couple of years.

Today they were given almost a free hand really, by being told by one judge that there are so many ways to approach the task.
Another said: Going home. What does it mean? A place, people, past, present or could it be the future?
Here is the crunch.
What judges wanted to see were 3 images from each contestant that showed honesty, courage, impeccable technique and which laid themselves bare for all to see.
Oh yes, there was one other proviso - at least one image had to be a self portrait!
Not too much to ask for then.

Just four contestants left: Sirdar, Richard, Maria & Jan. They are almost old friends of mine now as they have entertained me for the last four weeks.
They did have a mentor, Chris Buck from New York, who tried to help them select best images that told a story. Not everyone took it.

Who is going to fall at this last hurdle and which three will go on to the final next week.
You decide from their images below:

It should be easy enough, hopefully.

Richard's family are apparently not resident in the UK where he lives.
He managed to get away with a couple of images that don't show much and only made some sense with his explanation.

Judges liked the dark aspects.

Maria Giulia Costanzo was eliminated at Home Sweet Home where her images looked like happy family images, even though she did give shooting them considerable thought.

Today is the big final of Master of Photography with the Episode titled Women in Power.

However, here in the UK we have our very own Women in Power, the English Lionesses taking on the USA in the FIFA Women's World Cup quarter finals which I am watching.
Come on England!

I will be watching the final of Master of Photography tomorrow.
