I would have thought we were too far south for northern lights but you never know. They have been seen in London. If we get clear skies (this is Ireland you know) there will be lots of stars to see. You can get a photo of the Orion nebula with a DSLR and a good telephoto.

It turns out there's a solar storm which increases the possibility, but for Saturday evening (when the KP index is highest) the forecast is 90-100% cloud coverage....

There's still a chance though, so hope the weather is on your side... :)

A massive thank you to Sarah for a organising and leading a super trip, and to our fellow travellers for good company.
We saw a lot of Northern Ireland and a taster of the Republic. The weather was pretty good, some sun, clouds and a little rain.
The coast is beautiful and we hope we all have some good shots. The people were all friendly and welcoming and made good cakes!
Once again thank you Sarah - you are a star!

While we didn't make it, I would also like to offer my thanks, the itinerary looked full of possibilities (i'm glad it was realised) I'm hoping to use it at some point in the future. Glad the trip went well.
Well done!
