Had a great morning in Croydon in spite of the weather and enjoyed the company of the CCC members who came!
Got at least 3 images that I think I am happy with, but that could change for the worse once I see them on the Computer. Might even use one in the PDI competition next week!
Just back from a great lunch at Exhibition Rooms in Crystal Palace.
Thanks David for organising the outing. Nice meeting your daughter and wife too at Costa.

When we sat in the Costa at the end of the walk and I was asked if I had got anything, I did not know. The day had started badly when, for the second time running, I was caught attempting my first candid shot. (Surprisingly, both incidents resulted in a positive conversation and I parted on good terms with those I had been trying to photograph.) By the time we reached the coffee shop, I was tired, my knee was aching and I could have done without the rain. I had not been reviewing my shots and it did not feel as though I had anything special. Yet that is the joy of photography on such days, not knowing what will happen, and I am really pleased with the image above. I intend to write a blog post on my website about it, so will not add more here.

The two other images here both work reasonably well, although I do wonder if "Rooves" would have been improved with better light. Maybe a return visit when conditions are more promising is in order.

Hi David,

Many thanks for organising the walk, most enjoyable. The rain made it positively special. Also very pleasant to be introduced to your wife and baby daughter.

Here are three pictures from those I took yesterday:

I think you mentioned wanting about half a dozen from each of us for the compilation. Here's three more:

The middle one was a bit pushed on the light levels, but it was raining a trifle hard and I wasn't paying enough attention to the settings..

Cheers,

Graham

In the middle shot, you've caught that Hare Krishna guy perfectly, the way he was haranguing me.

In spite of being tired after yesterday, I did go back to Croydon for 1 pm today to cover the Hare Krishna gathering for an hour or so.
interesting & colourful and sunny skies were a big bonus.
Here are a few images from today.

My images are too large to post on the forum :(
That said you aren't missing anything, they're awful.

Hi David,
Images need to be considerably reduced in size before uploading to the forum - 750 x 500, 120 KB is a good size.
Then below the text: Options, Attachments, Add Files. Then Preview to see how they look before submitting.
Come on, lets see some images.
