Phoning requires way more time & effort than a quick email. That said, the reply does contain a degree of ambiguity

"I am so sorry, company policy is now dogs are allowed."

Got to love that response for the uncertainty it engenders. Maybe your correspondent does not like dogs?

A quick Google came up with this link about Best Western's policy regarding dogs. From what I can tell, just under half of their hotels accept pets, which based on the above might or might not include the Wessex. Unfortunately for you, it does involve making a phone call. Ultimately I would have thought that was easier and quicker than searching websites for information which is not easily found and communicating via confusing e-mails.

Hi everyone,

I'm pleased to confirm the hotel booking at Wessex Royale, in Dorchester, has been confirmed. I will have more details regarding payment arrangements when the club returns to meetings in September.

The following rooms have been booked:

Mike +1
Graham & Tina
Jeff & Jane
Wally & Hilary
Frank +1

Keith Ash
Tom Sherrin
Michael Platts
Rosalind Conti

Naturally if you won't be able to come, please let me know as soon as possible. Anybody not on the list but interested in joining us should similarly get in touch.

Keith
Regards,

Keith

If I do come, it will likely be under my own steam and with a dog friendly hotel - will let you know but I've got a suspicion we're busy that weekend now.

The room rates are as follows:

- Standard single room: £197.00 (Ros, Mike)

Of course if there are any cancellations please let me know as soon as possible.

Thanks,
Keith

Keith

Hi Keith
Just read your post regarding Dorset trip and deposits. You didn't mention me and Graham. We are currently on holiday in France and don't always have access to Internet. We will be back home on Monday evening.
Can you check that we are included and I will pay deposit on Tuesday.
Many thanks
Tina

Hi Tina,

I can confirm that you and Graham do have a booking at the Hotel. So if you could contact the hotel directly and pay that would be great :D

Thanks
Keith

Dear Keith I have tried to find the hotel for the outing to Dorset but can only see comments made in Feb and March. You did say look up Outings and Events ?
