The judges I have seen in action most recently have bemoaned the preponderance of "seen it before" images and have wanted something different. They should be ecstatic about these. ;)

The photoshopped ones remind me of the entries that routinely win at national & international salons/exhibitions - to me they don't even look like photos and I think they're dreadful.

Can't say the ones on that link do much for me either :)
