They say always have a camera to hand as you never know what will happen. So when the helicopters from Thursday's Platinum Jubilee flypast on Thursday flew over my house as they were returning to base, I was prepared. Kind of. All I had to hand was my mobile phone; everything happened so quickly that I did not have time to get another camera. Here is the best shot from the sequence of a Chinook.
I do not recomend phone cameras for aviation photography.

Well done, Ron. My camera, with long lens coveniently attached, was inconveniently upstairs. In the few seconds available, I simply cannot run that fast these days.
