Xmas cards

Postby walterconquy » Mon 12 Oct 2020, 10:37

Morning all, I was looking In a Graphis book this morning, it’s a book promoting designers and photographers, and there is an article about Christmas Cards. I have been making Xmas cards for about 20 years now and sending to members of the club. Probably nobody notices but this year I thought with all the time we have to spare with Corvid it might b a good idea to have a competition to see who can make the most beautiful/imaginative/unusual card and send them out this year.
You can copy something but put your own interpretation on it, or preferably use your own imagination. The cards can be sent via email, no printing. I would be willing to offer a prize of £10 for the one I think is the most imaginative. I think it could be quite good fun and I think we do have the imagination to do this. What do people think? We have over two months to do this, why not have a try. If people fancy the idea Good Luck, Wally.

Great idea Wally! To support it I would like to match your £10, so the one you think is the most creative/imaginative would be awarded £20. :D

Hi people, just a reminder we only have two months left to design a Christmas card. Lets try for it. It's a good exercise for doing graphics, it takes you away from all the serious stuff over the year. And----NO PRINTING.
Good luck everybody, Don't forget there is £20 involved for the best one. it could be you. Or me-------.

hi Ron thanks for the card, you are the first to send me one. If it’s possible could you send me an email with it please, I can then blow them up a little and look at them properly. The same as competition pictures.
Could everybody do the same please, I could then put them in a folder and compare easier.
Regards all
Wally
